Amanda R. Vierra, M.A., LAADC-CA, MAC, ICADC, ICCDP, CCDP

12910655_10154165025347369_1233778215_nAmanda is the owner and founder of Master MindCoaching, an applied sport and exercise psychology coaching and consulting program in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been in the counseling field since 2001 and has specialized in sport/exercise performance enhancement, mental health, substance abuse & addiction, domestic violence, and homelessness. Her interventions are rooted in developmental change and include motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based/person-centered approaches.

Amanda received her B.A. in Psychology from York University in Toronto, Canada, Certificate in Alcohol/Drug Studies from UC Berkeley Extension, and M.A. in Sport/Exercise Psychology from Argosy University. She is a Licensed (#LR01860216, *non-governmental) Addictions Counselor through CCAPP [formerly CAADAC] with additional certification in Co-occurring Disorders (#CDP0231013), and a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) through National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals (NCC AP). As of February 2017, Coach Amanda is certified (W49624) through the American Council on Exercise as a Health Coach.

Amanda is a member in good standing with Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), North American Society for Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity (NASPSPA), the California California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP), and the Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC).

Currently, Amanda lives in San Jose, California with her two rescue dogs, Grace and Sophie. She spends her free time watching hockey, coaching 5-12 year olds in distance walking and running with the Red Power Divas club, as well as training for various distance races. She is also the Program Director for the Red Power Divas.
