Amanda R. Vierra, M.A., LAADC-CA, MAC, ICADC, ICCDP, CCDP
Amanda is the owner and founder of Master MindCoaching, an applied sport and exercise psychology coaching and consulting program in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been in the behavioral health and general counseling field since 2001, specializing in sport/exercise performance enhancement, mental health, substance abuse & addiction, domestic violence, and homelessness. Her interventions are rooted in developmental change and include motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and strengths-based/person-centered approaches.
Amanda received her B.A. in Psychology from York University in Toronto, Canada, Certificate in Alcohol/Drug Studies from UC Berkeley Extension, and M.A. in Sport/Exercise Psychology from Argosy University. She is a Licensed (#LR01860216, *non-governmental) Addictions Counselor through CCAPP [formerly CAADAC] with additional certification in Co-occurring Disorders (#CDP0231013), and a Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) through National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals (NCC AP).
Amanda is a member in good standing with Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), North American Society for Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity (NASPSPA), the California California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP), and the Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC).
Currently, Amanda lives in San Jose, California with her two rescue dogs, Sophie and Zephyr. She spends her free time watching hockey and attending various rock concerts and festivals.
